Ingredients
- 4 c. cornbread, broken in pieces
- 2 c. dry bread, broken
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 large onion, chopped and sauteed in 1 Tbsp. butter with 1 c. celery, chopped
- 3 to 4 boiled chopped eggs
- 2 Tbsp. sage
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 to 4 c. chicken broth (more if needed)
Method
- Mix crumbs and seasonings.
- Add celery and onion.
- Add beaten eggs with broth and mix well.
- Add chopped boiled eggs (more seasoning if desired).
- Place in 13 x 9-inch pan sprayed lightly. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes to 1 hour until set.
- (Mixture needs to be moist before baking.)
