Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. corn meal
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Beat eggs; add sugar and butter.
- Beat until fluffy.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
- Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
- Serve as corn bread, cake or with milk in a bowl.
