Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 3 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn

Method

  • Cut slices of bacon in
  • half;
  • line sides and bottom of a 1 quart casserole.
  • Cover
  • with
  • half of bread crumbs, tomatoes, green pepper, salt, sugar, butter and corn.
  • Repeat with layers of remaining ingredients, saving a few bread crumbs for topping.
  • Dot with butter.
  • Bake uncovered in oven at 350° for 30 minutes.
