Ingredients

  • 12 hot banana peppers
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. yellow vinegar
  • 2 pkg. Certo (1 box)
  • green or red food coloring

Method

  • Clean and remove seeds.
  • Put peppers in blender with 1 cup of the vinegar and mix until fine.
  • Put pepper mixture into pan with 6 1/2 cups sugar. Add remaining vinegar.
  • Cook until boiling and slow boil for 10 minutes. Wipe off skim using wooden spoon.
  • Add the Certo and stir.
  • Add red or green food coloring.
  • Boil 1 minute.
  • Put in jars and seal.
