Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 3/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 1 c. buttermilk
Method
- Preheat oven to 450°.
- Grease and sprinkle iron frying pan with cornmeal mixture. Mix all ingredients together.
- Add enough water to make a mushy mixture. Pour into pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
