Ingredients

  • 4 medium size squash
  • 1 1/2 c. corn bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • dash of paprika

Method

  • Wash squash well; cover with cold water.
  • Bring to boil and boil rapidly for 20 minutes, or until squash is tender.
  • Mix all other ingredients.
  • Cut squash in the center the long way.
  • Scoop out seeds and pulp; add to bread crumb mixture.
  • Salt and pepper squash shells lightly.
  • Stuff with bread crumb stuffing; place on greased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, or until brown.
