Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 19 ounces tomatoes, canned
  • 14 ounces tomato sauce
  • 32 ounces water
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon steak sauce HP
  • 1 teaspoon steak sauce A1
  • 2 teaspoons red hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint leaves dried
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 18 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 bitters
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

Method

  • Brown the ground beef in 2 tbsps olive oil.
  • Add all the other ingredients, except the bread crumbs, and simmer for 3 hrs.
  • Also, put can of tomatoes thru a food mill to remove seeds before adding to sauce.
  • Finally add enough bread crumbs to thicken to the proper consistancy or however you like it.
