Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Method
- Have ingredients at room temperature.
- Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
- Add flour and milk alternately.
- Stir in flavorings.
- Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
- Place in cold oven.
- Turn to 350° and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Remove from pan and cover immediately.
- Don't open and serve until next day.
