Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. each: baking soda and salt
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Cracker Barrel Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • apple jelly (optional)

Method

  • COMBINE flour, sugar, baking powder and soda, and salt.
  • Stir in cheese.
  • Blend together yogurt, butter and eggs.
  • ADD liquid to dry ingredients.
  • Stir only until moistened.
  • Spoon into 12 large greased muffin cups.
  • BAKE at 400F (200C) for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve warm with apple jelly, if desired.
