Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Method

  • Cream
  • sugar and butter.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk to shortening and sugar.
  • Place this in a greased pan.
  • Bring brown sugar,
  • water and butter to a boil. Pour this over first mixture and sprinkle nuts over all.
  • Bake 45 minutes (oblong pan) at 350°.
  • May be served warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
