- 1 c. commercial sour cream
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. milk
Method
- Combine sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar, yeast and salt.
- Mix well. Add eggs, 1/2 cup butter and 2 1/4 cups flour.
- Beat until mixture is smooth.
- Add remaining flour, mix well.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface.
- Knead until dough is smooth and elastic, 5 to 8 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85°) free from drafts, 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
