Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread, thawed
  • 1 c. packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 large box regular vanilla pudding
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. raisins (optional)

Method

  • Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Layer nuts and raisins on bottom. Break 1 thawed loaf into pieces evenly over raisins and nuts. Melt margarine, sugar, milk and pudding in pan.
  • Pour over bread. Sprinkle on cinnamon.
  • Break second loaf and fill in all spaces covering nuts and raisins.
  • Cover with towel and let raise 2 to 3 hours.
  • Bake at 325° for 1/2 to 3/4 hour.
  • Invert immediately to cool.
  • (Put waxed paper under rack to catch syrup.)
