Ingredients
- 3 lb. frying chicken
- 2 ribs celery
- 1 medium size carrot
- salt and pepper as desired (use sparingly)
- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix (this has salt)
- 2 c. water
Method
- Mince carrot and celery.
- Cut up chicken in serving size pieces.
- Saute vegetables in butter.
- Put rice in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
- Add onion soup mix and sauteed vegetables with water.
- Brown chicken in butter; place on top of rice mixture. Cover with foil and bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
