Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 10 Tbsp. 10x confectioners sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
  • 1 lb. pkg. confectioners sugar

Method

  • Cream the margarine, Crisco and sugar.
  • Add vanilla flavoring and blend well.
  • Add flour, salt and nuts.
  • This dough ball can be refrigerated until ready to bake.
  • When ready to bake, break off pinches of the large dough ball and form into small balls.
  • Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake slowly at 325° to 375° for about 30 minutes.
  • Do not let cookies get too brown.
  • Cool cookie balls for about 5 minutes, then pour confectioners sugar, a little at a time, into a paper sack or Tupperware with lid on and carefully shake the cookie balls every few minutes until they are well coated with the white confectioners sugar, making pretty white snowballs.
  • Makes about 60 snowballs.
