Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. melted Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 3 c. rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. chopped, candied pineapple
  • 1/2 c. chopped, candied cherries
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Combine and sift together all dry ingredients except rolled oats.
  • Add rolled oats, pineapple, cherries and nuts until coated well.
  • Add melted Crisco, eggs and milk.
  • Drop from teaspoon about 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 400° for about 10 to 12 minutes or until brown as desired.
  • Makes approximately 6 dozen.
