- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. melted Crisco
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. milk
- 3 c. rolled oats
- 1/2 c. chopped, candied pineapple
- 1/2 c. chopped, candied cherries
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Combine and sift together all dry ingredients except rolled oats.
- Add rolled oats, pineapple, cherries and nuts until coated well.
- Add melted Crisco, eggs and milk.
- Drop from teaspoon about 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 400° for about 10 to 12 minutes or until brown as desired.
- Makes approximately 6 dozen.
