Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2/3 c. flour
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 7/8 c. water
- 1/3 tsp. lemon juice
- 8 c. canned pie fruit (undrained)
Method
- Mix sugar, cinnamon, flour and salt in dry bowl or pan.
- Mix water and lemon juice together and add to mixture.
- Add pie fruit. Fold gently.
- Measure approximately 1 quart per unbaked pie shell.
- Dot with butter.
- Cover with top crust or lattice top and bake about 40 minutes at 400°.
- Makes 2 (9-inch) pies.
