Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 c. celery hearts, diced
  • 1 (4 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained well
  • 1 small orange
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cranberry Jell-O
  • 1 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 c. ripe apple, diced

Method

  • Grind cranberries and orange; add sugar, mixing well.
  • Let stand overnight.
  • Prepare Jell-O according to package directions. Chill.
  • When half set, add to fruit mixture.
  • Add walnuts, marshmallows, celery, apple and crushed pineapple to Jell-O and fruit mixture.
  • Refrigerate until set.
  • Serve with whipped topping as dessert or with meal instead of cranberry sauce.
