Ingredients

  • 6 rib chops (veal or pork)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 4 c. thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/4 c. milk

Method

  • Rub chops with salt and pepper, brown in skillet with butter. Remove chops and brown onions.
  • Place potatoes in 2-quart baking dish (greased).
  • Arrange chops on top.
  • Add soup and milk to onions in skillet.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour mixture over chops. Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover.
  • Continue baking for 30 to 40 minutes until potatoes are done.
  • Serves 6.
