Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. granulated white sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 lb. margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, margarine, egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually add the flour and baking soda.
  • Spread batter in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle chips over the batter.
  • Place in oven for 2 minutes, remove and run knife through it to marbleize.
  • Return to oven and bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Cut as it cools.
