Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3 eggs, separated
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
Method
- Combine sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan.
- Add milk to egg yolks and mix.
- Combine with dry ingredients; stir well.
- Cook over medium heat.
- Stir slowly all
- during cooking time.
- Cook until thick.
- Remove from heat.
- Add coconut and vanilla.
- Pour into cooked pie shell.
- Use 3 egg whites for meringue.
- Sprinkle a bit of coconut on top before baking.
