Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
  • confectioners sugar

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  • Add egg and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Combine flour and salt.
  • Stir into creamed mixture. Fold in nuts and chips.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Cool cookies slightly before rolling them in confectioners sugar. Yields about 4 dozen.
