Ingredients
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. boiling water
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 3 sq. chocolate
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Sift flour, cornstarch, salt and sugar in top of double boiler; stir in 2 cups boiling water and place over other part of double boiler and boil until custard leaves the side of pan, then add egg yolks and cook 5 minutes.
- Turn off heat and add vanilla and butter.
- Pour in baked pie shell; cover with meringue and bake in moderate oven until brown.
