Ingredients
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 tsp. finely grated lemon peel
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sour cream
Method
- Mix sugar and cornstarch in medium pan.
- Whisk in milk until smooth.
- Add egg yolks and whisk until blended.
- Stir in peel and juice.
- Add butter.
- Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, 4 to 5 minutes or until thick.
- Do not boil!!
- Refrigerate until cool.
- Fold in sour cream and put in 9-inch baked and cooled pie shell.
