Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. cocoa
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. pecans or walnuts
Method
- Combine sugar, cocoa and salt in a heavy saucepan.
- Add milk and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Do not stir again.
- Cook to soft ball stage.
- Add butter and place pan in cold water.
- Add vanilla.
- Beat until creamy.
- Put into buttered pan.
