Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell baked
  • 1/2 c. cocoa, mixed with hot water to paste-like consistency
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 c. rich milk (Use one large can evaporated milk and finish filling 2 cups with whole milk)
  • 1 tub Cool Whip

Method

  • In a sauce pan, mix all ingredients.
  • Cook over medium heat until very thick.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Let pie cool and top with Cool Whip or whipped egg whites.
