Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/8 c. vegetable shortening
  • 1 egg plus 1 tsp. vinegar and water to make 3/4 c.

Method

  • Combine flour and salt in medium bowl and cut in shortening with blender to form pea-size chunks.
  • Add your egg and water, a little at a time, until dough forms a ball.
  • Roll dough on a floured pastry cloth.
  • You divide dough up to make 2 (8-inch) pies with top crust for one pie.
  • You can freeze the pies until you need to fill them.
