- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. dark brown sugar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 (3.4 oz.) vanilla instant pudding mix
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. chocolate morsels
- 1 1/2 c. pecans
- 1 c. quick cooking oats
Method
- Beat shortening and butter at medium speed until creamy; gradually add sugars.
- Add eggs and beat.
- Add mix and vanilla. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients.
- Gradually add to butter mixture and beat.
- Stir in morsels, pecans and oats.
- Shape dough into balls and press to 1-inch thickness.
- Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Makes 3 dozen.
