Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. flour (self-rising or add 1/2 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. salt)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 c. quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (mini size preferred)
Method
- Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Set oven to 375°.
- Cream sugar, margarine and vanilla.
- Add egg.
- Stir in flour, then oats. Spread into pan.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cut into squares.
- Makes 24.
