Ingredients

  • 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 2 c. crispy rice cereal

Method

  • Blend cheese and margarine in large bowl.
  • Sift flour, sugar, cayenne pepper and salt into mixture; add remaining ingredients. Work dough with pastry blender or hands.
  • Pinch dough into small balls 1-inch in diameter.
  • Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet and press down with palm of hand or fork, into small circle.
  • Bake in preheated 350° oven for 12 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cool on wire rack and store in sealed container.
  • Handle gently.
  • These are very crisp.
  • Yield: 11 dozen.
