Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) oleo
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 tsp. water
  • 3 eggs (one at a time)
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Beat first 6 ingredients until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well.
  • Combine dry ingredients and blend into butter mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
