Ingredients

  • 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 c. cut-up nuts
  • 1/3 c. cut-up maraschino cherries, well-drained
  • 1 to 1 1/4 c. coconut

Method

  • Stir together chocolate chips and milk in a 2-quart heavy saucepan over low heat until chips melt. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, nuts and cherries until well mixed. Chill mixture until cool enough to handle. Roll by teaspoonfuls into balls and then into coconut. Chill until firm, approximately 4 hours. Keep cold. Makes 2 dozen.
