Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 (1 oz.) sq. baking chocolate
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- 3/4 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan over low heat.
- Remove from heat.
- Add sugar.
- Add 1 unbeaten egg; mix with a fork.
- Add other egg; mix again.
- Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; add to mixture.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Pour into an 8-inch square pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
