Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1/2 c. green onions with tops, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, sliced
  • 1/2 c. mushrooms
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 3/4 lb. crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Method

  • Cook bacon and drain.
  • Saute celery and onions in drippings until tender.
  • Add mushrooms, cooked rice, salt and soy sauce, stirring gently to coat all ingredients with soy sauce.
  • Cook 10 minutes longer on low, stirring occasionally.
  • Add crumbled bacon and mix well.
  • Serve.
