Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 18 c. dry cereal (mixture of bite size wheat, corn, rice or toasted oat cereal)
- 2 c. nuts (cashews, peanuts, mixed nuts, etc.)
- 6 c. powdered sugar
Method
- Melt butter and chocolate chips in medium sized heavy saucepan over low heat; stir to blend.
- Place cereal and nuts in large bowl.
- Pour chocolate mixture over; mix until cereal and nuts are thoroughly coated.
- Turn chocolate mixture into very large bowl or dishpan.
- Sprinkle sugar over, 2 cups at a time, carefully folding and mixing until thoroughly coated.
- Makes about 24 cups.
