Ingredients

  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 lbs ground beef (steak, roast or leftover hamburger patties )
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) canpetite diced tomatoes
  • 1 -2 tablespoon diced green chilis
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 14 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 -4 dashed taco sauce (see submitted recipe )
  • beef broth

Method

  • Drain beans and set aside.
  • Heat oil and saute onions until soft.
  • Add garlic meat and seasonings, and flour, cook meat until brown.
  • Add tomatoes and beans.
  • Add 1-2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth to desired consistency.
  • Add taco sauce to taste.
  • Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Serve in bread bowls or with crackers.
