- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 medium onion
- 2 lbs ground beef (steak, roast or leftover hamburger patties )
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) canpetite diced tomatoes
- 1 -2 tablespoon diced green chilis
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 14 teaspoon cumin
- 2 -4 dashed taco sauce (see submitted recipe )
- beef broth
Method
- Drain beans and set aside.
- Heat oil and saute onions until soft.
- Add garlic meat and seasonings, and flour, cook meat until brown.
- Add tomatoes and beans.
- Add 1-2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth to desired consistency.
- Add taco sauce to taste.
- Simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Serve in bread bowls or with crackers.
