Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck (beef)
  • 1 large can V-8 juice
  • 1 medium can tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano, ground
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 small sections garlic, crushed
  • 1 bay leaf (optional)
  • red pepper and black pepper to taste

Method

  • Brown onion, green pepper and garlic in butter.
  • Brown meat and drain off fat, then add other ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 hours.
