Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lb. chili meat or ground beef (lean)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- Brown meat, add onion and garlic; stir until mixture becomes brown.
- Add water.
- Add tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, cumin and pepper.
- Heat to boiling.
- Simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender and mixture has thickened.
