Ingredients

  • 4 quarts tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 12 cups green peppers, chopped
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 1 12 cups white vinegar
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice

Method

  • Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer until as thick as wanted (1 to 2 hours).
  • Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
  • Pour boiling hot into hot jars leaving 1/8" head space.
  • process in boiling water for 15 minutes.
