Ingredients
- 1 gal. ripe tomatoes (8 1/4 lb., peeled and cored)
- 2/3 c. chopped onions
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 c. vinegar
Method
- Put tomatoes and onions through a food chopper.
- Add all ingredients.
- Boil 2 hours or until thick, stirring frequently to keep from scorching.
- As soon as sauce is thick as desired, pour into sterilized jars and seal.
