Ingredients
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 to 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 3/4 c. canned tomatoes
- 2 c. canned kidney beans
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. sugar
- chili powder to taste
Method
- Saute the onion in the butter.
- Add ground beef and cook until well done.
- Add 1 3/4 cups canned tomatoes and some water.
- Add the beans, salt, bay leaf, sugar and chili powder.
- Cover and cook slowly for about 1 hour.
- Serve with tortillas or crackers.
