Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce.) jar plain spaghetti sauce
  • 6 ounce. mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 1 sm. garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dry basil
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 med. zucchini, sliced
  • 8 ounce. spaghetti, cooked and liquid removed
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook chicken; cold, bone and cut meat into bite size pcs.
  • While chicken is cooling combine sauce and next 7 ingredients.
  • Simmer 40 min, stirring occasionally.
  • Add in chicken and zucchini simmer 30 min stirring occasionally.
  • Serve stew over spaghetti.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, if you like.
  • Makes 4 servings.
