Ingredients
- 4 lb. cut up chicken
- 3 c. carrots, sliced
- 3 c. potatoes, cubed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- parsley flakes
- gravy
- baking powder biscuits
Method
- In bit kettle, put chicken and add water to cover.
- Cook on medium for 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove chicken from kettle.
- To broth, add the carrots, potatoes, celery and onion; cook for 15 minutes. Remove chicken from bones, cutting into pieces, and add to the broth.
- Simmer 5 more minutes.
- Remove everything from broth and put in a large roaster.
- Mix cornstarch and water to make gravy; add to chicken broth which is boiling.
