Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- dash of salt
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Line cookie sheets with foil.
- Lightly grease foil.
- Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light. Add egg; beat until creamy.
- Stir in vanilla, flour and salt.
- Add chocolate chips and nuts.
- Mix until well blended.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 3-inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are set.
- (Cookies are soft when hot but become crispy as they cool.)
- Cool completely on foil, then peel foil from cookies.
- Makes 2 dozen.
