Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Sunlite oil
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce (with tomato bits)
  • 1 c. water
  • 8 oz. bow tie noodles, cooked and drained
  • 8 oz. sour cream

Method

  • In a large frypan, saute onion and pepper in oil over medium heat until tender. Remove from heat. Add paprika, salt and pepper. Return pan to heat and add chicken. Cook 10 to 15 minutes. Add tomato sauce and water; simmer 25 to 30 minutes longer. Stir occasionally. Remove chicken from pan and arrange on serving platter over noodles. Skim excess fat from sauce.
  • Mix 1/2 cup sour cream with sauce.
  • Gradually ladle over chicken and noodles. Dollop with remaining sour cream.
  • Serves 4 to 6.
