Ingredients
- 3 lb. chicken (fryer), cut up
- 3 large glasses water
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Cook all ingredients over low heat about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. When chicken is tender, remove from pot and keep warm.
- Mix about 3 tablespoons flour with some chicken broth until thin.
- Pour flour mixture back into pot and stir until gravy thickens.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
