- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese (about 8 oz.)
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 c.)
- 1 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. uncooked lasagne noodles (9 or 10 noodles)
- 2 c. (16 oz.) creamed cottage cheese
- 2 c. cut up cooked chicken
- 2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- Heat margarine in 2-quart saucepan over low heat until melted; add garlic.
- Stir in flour and salt.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in milk and broth.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in Mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, the onion, basil, oregano and pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until Mozzarella cheese is melted.
