Ingredients

  • 2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained

Method

  • Cook chicken thoroughly and debone, if necessary.
  • Melt margarine in skillet. Add celery and onion and cook until tender. Stir in next 5 ingredients; blend well. Add cubed chicken, almonds and mushrooms.
  • Spoon into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish and bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Serves 4 to 6.
