Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. rum flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. miniature marshmallows

Method

  • Cream butter and shortening.
  • Add sugar, creaming well.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating hard after each addition.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
  • Continue to beat, adding all flavorings.
  • Add marshmallows last for a real moist cake. Bake at 325° to 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
