Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut up or selected pieces you prefer, skin-on
  • 1 t crushed garlic
  • 3 T olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 t oregano
  • 1 t basil
  • 1/ 2 c. flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1-26 oz jar Marinara Sauce with Burgundy Wine or other preferred spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c red wine (optional)

Method

  • Coat chicken pieces in mixture of flour and seasonings. Brown chicken in hot oil until golden.
  • Remove chicken from pan and drain off most of the oil.
  • Brown onion and garlic slightly in pan.
  • Drain off all oil.
