Ingredients
- chicken pieces
- 1 or 2 cans undiluted cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 c. cooking sherry (per can of soup)
- 1/2 to 3/4 pkg. uncooked wide egg noodles
Method
- Brown chicken pieces.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup with cooking sherry.
- Put chicken on bottom of pan.
- Put uncooked noodles on top of the chicken.
- Pour soup and sherry over all.
- If cooked in oven, cook at 300° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
- If cooked in crock-pot, cook for 1 hour at medium heat and 5 hours at low setting.
- This makes the chicken so tender that the bones will "melt" in the crock-pot, so take care when serving.
